To the person who said I could find these reading lights at Costco. I searched all over Costco and asked for help, but no reading lights. Could have saved time and gas by ordering from Amazon. Theres a reason I use Amazon alot. It is convenient with good prices on most things.

First, the good: The light is nice and bright, but also directional (so as not to disturb others nearby). The gooseneck is very flexible and can twist at least 180 degrees.
The not-so-good: The clip is metal and curved (over the battery housing) with relatively sharp edges. It could easily end up scratching whatever you clipped it to (I don't use it on my leather e-reader cover). The USB cable is short, so an extension cable is necessary for an e-reader (as well as a nearby powered USB port) but not a laptop/netbook with a spare port. Note that when using the USB cable, the battery-pack and clip are disconnected as the gooseneck plugs into either a USB port or the battery pack.

Unlike so many other LED products, this one is nice and bright, casting a uniform glow over a wide enough area to illuminate a book page or computer keyboard. I have it running on USB power from my computer, illuminating the keyboard (which otherwise would be quite dark.) Now that I've seen how well these work, I'll get some more to give as Christmas gifts to other people who use computers, or read while they travel.

Plenty of light, acts as a desk lamp, computer lamp and book lamp. Used standard batteries which increases the weight. A little heavy, but this works to advantage when used as a desk lamp.
